Conversion of an existing day centre of a psychiatric unit at Fulbourn Hospital into a centre for both day and residential patients with residential and day facilities (Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust).
The refurbishment work primarily provided twelve patient rooms, complete with en-suite facilities for overnight in-patient care. The work to the facility necessitated a major re-organisation of the building’s facilities took place.
An upgrade of the building’s insulation was carried out to the external walls and within the roof space. The external walls have an externally applied, mechanically fixed, insulation system finished with a coat of render.
The works included major alterations to the existing foul water drainage systems.
