Ipswich Crematorium, Suffolk

As part of 2012 environmental regulations, Ipswich Crematorium implemented a programme of cremator replacement / upgrade and installed new mercury abatement equipment.

Allman Woodcock’s duties included determining the best procurement route and form of contract, OJEU procurement consultancy and acting as Employer’s Agent in the pre and post-contract phases.

The work on site included major structural and building alterations to facilitate the installation of new plant and equipment.

Owing to the sensitive nature of the site the works were carefully programmed to ensure minimal disruptions to funeral services and cremations.

The project was successfully completed on time and within budget.
