Allman Woodcock are appointed as Employer’s Agent and Quantity Surveyor by the Borough Council.
Beacon Park is a premier business centre located in Gorleston, comprising housing and commercial premises, with areas of development also allocated to future retail and housing. In 2012 the Park was given the status of ‘Enterprise Zone’, this also included a Local Development Order giving a simplified planning status.
The project comprises the construction of four high quality industrial units with office spaces, totalling 70,000 square feet, constructed in two phases. The Council is undertaking the construction of these units as a speculative development to offer accommodation to companies for whom the current availability of premises is not suitable.
We prepared the tender documents for the selection and appointment of the architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines of the client professional team. As lead consultant, Allman Woodcock helped to deliver the design to RIBA (former) Stage E within 5 weeks, prior to seeking tenders.
Following our preparation of Employer’s Requirements, the first phase has procured under a JCT Design and Build Contract and works commenced onsite in April 2014.
